We purchased Malley supposedly as a 2 and a half year old, Part bred Welsh section C*D 13.2hh bay mare, with no papers or history of her parentage on 28/06/02.
After getting the dentist (Craig Griffiths) to her a year later, he informed us that she was only just 2 and a half years old, as her 4 front middle teeth hadn't come through yet and not 3 and a half. Her teeth came out 1 week later. So Malley was born in Dec 00
We have schooled her and loose jumped her and she has jumped 1m 50, she has a very scopey jump and she makes sure she doesn't hit the poles, (check out her photo gallery). She is now standing at 14.2hh, but even though she may be small, she thinks she is a horse, taking on Shannon (16.2hh) Elvera (16.2hh) Vegas (17.2hh) and JJ Jester (16.31/2hh) in the field.
Malley will hack out on her own or in company, she is very sweet mare who will give you 200% in everything you ask of her. She is brilliant for the farrier, vet, dentist and she will trot into the trailer, she is that eager to go places.
Malley and our friends 13 year old son Martin have both improved alot and are going well.
Malley is another one for the cup of Tea! she to will mug you for it, lol, she wouldn't go out to the field or the exercise area until she had had one, she even got into our tack room (attached in stable) and the sugar, tea-bags, coffee and the kettle was all on the floor, so she was trying to do herslf a brew, lol
Malley has 1 black leg, which is her right hind leg, and Malley can and does frequently be lethal, back in 2006 she ended up kicking Martin in his stomache, it just looked like he has swallowed a tennis ball it was that big and she had bearly touch him, luckily nothing was broken and no internal damage either.
Malley had her 1st foal on 18/05/08, a stunning colt and the birth was very easy and was over in just 10 mins from the very 1st sign of labour, and she has been brilliant with him and cared for him, excellent Mum.
